What do you do if you have 30 jeans pockets left over from previous denim projects? You make a leopard quilt! (Duh!) And what do you do if you are missing a few (baby jeans) pockets? You make your own and decorate them with a pentagram, a question mark, a lightning bolt and an “L” for leopard! Oh, and jeans buttons make for wonderful tail spots!!!
This beauty is made from recycled jeans from neighbors and friends. The jeans were washed and dried, cut apart and reconfigured. All stitching is done by hand. (Yes, my fingers are very sore. Thanks for asking.)
The leopard quilt measures 48 x 72 inches. It features colorful borders made from fabric that my neighbor’s grandmother had stored in her attic for 50 years.
